Look at us working hard! The kids did a great job and the heavy rain held off until we were all done. After a long struggle with dirt and compost, we finished the last planting beds. We're looking forward to our party on June 30th.
Good news: The garden is attracting birds.
A few of our many sunflowers.
In May, the neighborhood kids planted a vegetable bed and an herb box.
Lots of impatiens!
"Nicotine" flowers. (This was very exciting for our smokers.)
Hoping to put in benches sometime this summer.

Hi All
This is what my Mom had to say and by the way I think it is FANTASTIC!
Jen,
What a beautiful addition to your neighborhood. The meadering path really adds to the attraction. I am sure the plants will do well and will be wonderful as summer progresses. Congratulations on a great job!!!
Mom
Living in philly, we've always had issues with sunlight, being stuck between to houses, or in a small backyard. How do you guys deal with it. Do you do anything specific to help.
thanks,
tyer
